This exhibition features a paper installation that responds to the spatial structure and unique location at the heart of the light rail construction site. I spent a month in the space, developing work that engages with both the architectural context and the surrounding urban chaos.

The installation invites active observation that embodies a dual gaze - both outward and inward; a gaze that moves between the abstract and the figurative. Through delicate paper cuts, images emerge that wait to be discovered, creating a dialectic between looking at something and looking through it.

The exhibition title, derived from poetry, suggests a concave view of the world - a gaze that acknowledges the distance between viewer and object, hinting at an inward-looking perspective where the eye looks into itself, into consciousness.
